\u201cI am not<\/i> an auxiliary!\u201d <\/i>Jane shrieks as she scrambles into the amazing Wellington rocket face first and the statue launches.<\/p>\n
Tom tries to pacify her. \u201cIt\u2019s because you don\u2019t actually have a destiny to destroy the world,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ll pancake you,\u201d she mutters. She tries to wiggle herself around to get to the auxiliary controls while the plane\u2019s in flight. Tom, in a spirit of high-spirited hijinx, takes a moment to juke and roll Jane this way and that in the rocket ship.<\/p>\n
\u201cI. Don\u2019t. Have. My. Seatbelt. On,\u201d Jane grates out.<\/p>\n
\u201cFine,\u201d Tom says. \u201cOh, hey, there\u2019s his car. Maybe we won\u2019t have to chase his jet after all \u2014\u201d<\/p>\n
Bertram has a rocket launcher.<\/p>\n
Tom stares down.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s just not cricket,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n
Bertram fires.<\/p>\n
\u201cJane!\u201d Tom shouts. \u201cPump the position indeterminator!\u201d<\/p>\n
