Tom looks at the blueprints.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is a boot,\u201d says Tom.<\/p>\n
They have gathered there to listen: the House of Dreams.<\/p>\n
Cheryl reiterates: \u201cIn space<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n Tom looks at her sideways. \u201cYou can\u2019t just make anything scientific by adding \u2018in space,\u2019\u201d he says.<\/p>\n Cheryl shrugs.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve tried,\u201d Tom says, softly. \u201cYou know. Space and time are closed to me.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIf necessary,\u201d says Cheryl, \u201cwe can make an astonishing space boot using Lethal Corporation funding and ordinary, un-dreaming science.\u201d<\/p>\n Tom\u2019s lower eyelid twitches.<\/p>\n \u201cHe took them from me,\u201d says Tom: space and time, he means, and Jeremiah Clean.<\/p>\n Then he closes his eyes.
